‘A garden that looks as if it has always been here’, was central to the brief for this country garden near Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. In fact, this garden has been created from open fields (with some trees, hedgerows and pond) - and structure and planting have been designed to give an established feel.

Working closely with my clients, I drew up a master plan for this six-and-a-half acre plot, which we then implemented in stages. Plants thriving in the alkaline soil of this part of Berkhamsted were chosen.

This garden is beautifully maintained by its owners - who enjoy it every day, and find that it provides a lovely setting for family occasions and entertaining.

This garden design near Berkhamsted is for a private client. I have designed, advised on, and worked on the production of many gardens in Hertfordshire around Berkhamsted, and have a good understanding of local conditions.
